Moved out at 21

Decided to move out at 20, rented this place and "renovated" it as cheaply as possible for 3-4 Months and then moved out at 21. I'm 23 years old now and been living here for 2 years now and feel at peace everyday.

First Drawing after 3 Years

First time posting!
So I was really into art and drawing back then but around 3-4 years ago just stopped/didn't enjoy it as much and couldn't bring myself to draw anymore. A lot happened since then and recently I got this spike in motivation to draw again and also try out some art supplies I had bought back then but never really got to try out.

In this case I decided to finally try out some "new" paper for colored pencils (I bought 4 years ago but never used lol): Fabriano Artistico Hot Pressed Extra White
Heard many people say they love this paper for colored pencils (Lachri Fine Art and Drawholic to mention a few).

I used my Prismacolors only (and a black Polychromos and white Luminance) and I found this paper to be very weird in its texture. It is smooth (hot pressed so obviously it is) but it has this very fine gritty texture that seems very "artificial" that I have NEVER seen in paper before. Veeeery weird for sure. Due to this texture the whole drawing does not look as smooth when looking very close (only visible very close in real life or when zooming in). Also, very weird, but the darkest darks seem to look more pale than on my normal vellum finished papers (again, only visible in real life or from certain angles when taking a picture).

Overall I am happy with the result, but will probably not choose to draw on this paper again with CP only. Felt reaaally good to draw again tho.

Oh and yes the photo was taken on my bed, lighting was really good😃
