Some questions about my new to me '06 Civic.

Hey all, new driver here but a long time Civic (8th gen) fan who got his hands on one as a first car. I love it, it's old but beautiful and I didn't think I would be able to get one as my first car but here we are. However being a new driver and knowing nothing about cars I have a couple of questions that some of you here might be able to help with.

The main thing is concerning the GPS that's built in. I have the DVD for Europe 2005-2006 (system info in pic1) and I don't know if there's any newer out there, and if so if it's worth finding to update. The GPS also doesn't let me select searching by postcode for some reason and can't find my town name and I don't know if this is due to old software or just old age in general. It tends to also freeze up for a minute when searching certain things or trying to access menus seemingly randomly.

The second thing is a bigger nuisance, whoever had the car previously has fitted some USB charger (pic2) and so now I don't have the easy option for an FM transmitter to listen to music from my phone easily. I've tried shifting it but it doesn't look like it can be removed. Not sure if there's another easy fix for having my phone play music through the car speakers.

Lastly, and this may be related to the second thing, I found this plastic box (pic3) sitting in the glove box and have no idea what it is or what it's for. Some light googling reveals it's for some kind of Bluetooth controls of which I couldn't really find any more info. Also unsure why it was just in the glove box.

Sorry for all the questions but I felt as though this was the place to ask. As I said, I'm a new driver and new to cars in general but very eager to learn.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice on helping me understand my new baby better!

I recently bought my first car at the ripe old age of 36 and I love it, however it has this awful text on the bonnet that was obviously applied by one of the previous owners. It has the consistency of dried paint and parts of it do scratch away with a fingernail but I really want to get rid of it without affecting the actual paint of the car.

So I come to everyone here in the hopes of getting some advice about how to remove this kind of thing, if there's any kind of product out there for removing it or something. Any help is greatly appreciated, I just want my new 20 year old car to look it's best 😅
