I play Bedrock on the original Nintendo Switch. I noticed 2 days ago that I have lost the ability to access local play mode. At the start screen there is no longer a prompt to press Y for local play. Pressing Y anyway does nothing. I have restarted, shut down completely, checked that my game was up to date, tried airplane mode, tried a different wifi source, signing in and out, and even deleting and redownloading Minecraft. No change. I tried searching the Internet and I seem to be the only one with this issue.
Did I miss some change in a recent update? My husband on Switch 2 still has his Press Y for local play option. Can anyone help?
