I am working on building a 7P 12S pack of 2.5Ah 18650s for a large longboard, but havent really set up my own bms or charging systems. ive been looking at 6/7S Daly balancers and just splitting the pack, but i have a few questions.
(the reason for splitting the pack is that the board is in 2 halves and im not sure i want the bms wires passing over the flexture)

1: can i use a 7s bms on a 6s pack?
2: once theyre hooked up, would i just use a generic li-ion charger and set it to 6S? and is that even the way you charge it? (i assume connect to the final B+ and P-)

3: does balancing current affect charge speed or is it just for ensuring each set of cells charges at the same rate?
