Hyper focusing or scarred from at home microneedling?
Hi everyone! 40yo/f, I’ve been spiraling the last 3.5 weeks after doing an at home microneedling session on my smile lines. 36 needles at .5mm using the Dr.pen and I was gliding. The area started to bleed slightly and I stopped. Now I treated it mostly with hyurluronic acid serum and moisturizer. Sunscreen everyday. However, I probably did every single bad thing in the first week. I picked at it while peeling, i put tretinoin on it one night not even thinking, vitamin C another day while not thinking, and to top it off I used a frownie on it around 1.5 weeks and even though I wet the frownie to take off it irritated my skin. I know… so dumb.
The last 2 weeks I’ve been soaking it in hyurluronic acid serum, moisturizer, collagen masks (which I’m not sure was good or not), mederma scar cream and aquaphor. Today I got Vitamin E oil and it might be the best thing I’ve put on it. I have scar sheets, should I use those on top?
What say you all - besides me being so silly to even do it at home to begin with… for something that never really bothered me to begin with. My line seems deeper (could it still be swollen around it?) and I have either hyperpigmentation or scarring. Help!
