Hiatus Hernia - IQoro - Game changer!

Hi everyone, redownloaded Reddit just to write this post and then it’s being deleted again so apologies you probably won’t receive a response if you have Qs but I plan to include everything here.

I was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia when I was 17/18 yo, I’m now 31. I’ve had acid reflux issues most of that time and a few years prior to diagnosis. I’ve done the usual take PPIs and antacids to keep it at bay but it’s just never been sustainable as you all probably realise. I’ve tried diet control, I’m pretty healthy and strict with diet anyway but I couldn’t have a sip of coffee or a piece of chocolate without acid reflux.

Anyway, I got sick of the PPIs etc., and realised I’m not treating the actual cause here, I’m treating the symptoms, my stomach acid isn’t the issue, the issue is the hernia.

So I did some research and found IQoro and what an absolute game changer.

I bought the IQoro around 12 months, ridiculously expensive for a bit of plastic that cost probably 30p to make, but I’d had enough of the PPIs. I figure the cost of the product over £100 what you’re actually paying for is the research that went into making the product? Anyway, I’ve been using to for 12 months and the improvement is insane, I use it twice a day for approx. 1min - 30seconds, once in morn when brush my teeth and at night before bed after brushing my teeth.

I noticed a significant change within 3-4 months, the training of the muscles in the diaphragm mean that the protruding muscle (hiatus hernia) is pushed back into its normal position. And so the flap between the oesophagus and the stomach closed how it should and the acid no longer comes up. (I’m not a doctor so apologies if I’ve butched that explanation that’s just how i understand it)

Anyway the point is, after 3-4 month I saw huge improvements and now after a year I hardly even know about acid reflux. I have coffee most days recently only 1 cup at most (kinda what to see how far I can push it), I can have sweets or chocolate or an occasional fizzy drink and no problems (I don’t tend to overindulge though). I have a pretty good diet, I’m vegetarian, avoid processed stuff, avoid milk (have soy instead). I don’t drink alcohol much nowadays but if I am going to be having a far few drinks (5 pints or more) or a heavy weekend for a stag do or festival or something like that then I’ll have a PPI on the first day morning of and then I’m fine for the whole period and usually I can return to normal after.

Now I’m not sure if I stopped using the IQoro if the hernia and issues would return but I’m not chancing it, I’m using this thing longggg term as it’s changed my life.

One other thing, it’s likely if like me you have been on PPIs for years that you’ll have an iron deficiency as a result. Taking supplements, especially Iron, in capsule form on a regular basis is too intense for my stomach, but I’ve found liquid forms of these supplements works perfectly. I heavily dilute these in a 1 litre bottle of water, I figure small and often, not large dosages as they just set the stomach acid off again. I take vit b12 and iron in 1litee of water whenever I feel like it and no issues.

Apologies about spelling errors and rambling; I’m not really too interested how it reads, just important that you’re all aware of how useful IQoro can be as a tool and that I highly recommend you give it a go. Probs don’t work for everyone, but I also think some people aren’t willing to keep up the routine of doing it at least twice a day, but I suggest you do, for 2 mins a day you could change your life.

Good luck all!! Peace, love and all that good shit
