no coding experience, trying to figure out the best path to actually build my app idea

I’m 23 and have an app idea I’m serious about building, but I have no coding background. I’ve been able to put together HTML pages using Claude and I really like how those turned out, which is what got me thinking this might actually be possible.
Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of ads for AI app builders like Lovable, Rork, Replit, and similar tools. Most are subscription-based and I’m trying to figure out if they’re actually worth it. I gave Replit a shot, but what it produced looked nothing like the clean HTMLs Claude had made for me, which threw me off.
I’ve also looked into Bubble.io and Fiverr, and considered reaching out to app development agencies. My hesitation with agencies is two-fold: I’m worried about the idea getting stolen, and the cost is likely beyond what I can afford right now.
One more wrinkle: part of my app involves a subscription model, and I’m not sure how well AI builders handle payment processing and recurring billing on the backend.
A few questions for anyone who’s been through this:
• Are the AI app builders actually capable of producing something production-ready, or do they fall apart once you need real functionality like auth, payments, and a database?
• Is Bubble.io a better route for a non-coder than the AI tools?
• For those who’ve worked with agencies or freelancers on Fiverr/Upwork, how did you protect your idea, and what should I expect to pay for an MVP?
• Any other paths I’m not considering?
Any honest feedback would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.
