Advice on which Rate to choose.

Hey, thanks for checking this out. I am going to join the navy reserves and am having trouble picking a rate. I have yet to go to MEPS and am trying to make sure I have a list ready before I go in a few weeks.

Random background Info ( To give you an idea of what type of person I am) - I am 22 and have a college degree in psych. I've worked as a bartender, a machinist, building super etc. I can do the same thing everyday no problem. But I can't stay in the same place for 2 years (hence reserves and not enlistment). I took a lot of extra stem courses and enjoy working with my hands whether it's in a laboratory or a shop. I cannot stand sitting at a computer. I don't have any specific field I'm passionate about. But I love to learn just about anything from machines, research to how to make eggs taste great.

What I'm looking for out of the navy is the ability to volunteer for a variety of different orders (Lots of locations and time periods). I would prefer a job where I'm not trapped on a ship the entire order. I did get an 83 percentile on my pretest at the recruiters so I should be able to place into most rates that aren't the tippy top of difficulty. Civilian wise I'd like to one day work as something like a game warden, park ranger, 1811 or possibly for the NAOO. I know the navy won't directly contribute. But those positions like military regardless of your rate.

Thank you again for any advice.

Edit - Oh I've been looking at Seabee rates, Aviation machinist/electronics, or maybe something like an MP though I've yet to find that type of rate for reserves.

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience about being an Aerograpers mate. Things like what the day to day looks like. If you think you might be able to pull off taking a few college courses while working as one. What duty stations they are commonly sent to. What the QOL is like. And if you knew of options for careers after working in this role.

TLDR: How is or was it being an AG
