So I am in the unfortunate situation where my Cartus call to go through everything is 1 day after my start date. The suggested start date was for next month but I finished all my pre-hire tasks quick enough to start 3 weeks early.

Luckily, I'm only 2 hours away from the work site and its not a big move as I live a fairly minimalistic lifestyle.

How should I go about taking the call (which now conflicts during the work shift) and what should I discuss with them about just completing a self-move to get the last bit of my stuff moved to my new living quarters?

Will I get given a lump sum check? Or will it be a "give us receipts and we'll compensate" type of deal?
