Doing dishes in a small place is starting to get old real fast so I’m looking at those portable countertop dishwashers. I didn’t even know these were a thing until recently but now I kinda want one just to save time.

Space is limited so I can’t do a full size install. From what I’ve seen, some of these don’t even need a direct hookup and just use a built in water tank which sounds really convenient.

I’m just not sure how good they actually are in real use. Some look really tiny and I’m worried they won’t fit plates or I’ll still end up washing half my stuff by hand anyway. People also mention capacity differences a lot like some only do 2 place settings while others can handle more.

Main things I care about are decent cleaning, not too loud, and something that actually fits everyday dishes without being annoying to load. Budget is flexible but I don’t wanna overspend if the cheaper ones already do the job.

What are you guys using that’s actually worth it for a small apartment setup?

I’ve been trying to deal with really hard water for a while now and my skin and hair are starting to feel it. Dry scalp, weird buildup, and shampoo just doesn’t feel like it rinses properly anymore.

I keep seeing those shower head filters and “water softener” attachments online, but honestly it’s getting confusing because some people say they actually help and others say they don’t do much at all unless you install a full house softener system.

Right now I’m just looking for something simple I can attach to the shower. Budget is around mid-range, not trying to go super cheap but also not going into full plumbing setup territory. I mainly care about reducing that harsh hard water feel, less dryness after shower, and if it can help a bit with hair feeling less rough.

If you’ve tried any of those shower filters or softener attachments, what actually worked for you long term? Or are most of them just kind of the same thing with different branding?

My lips get dry pretty easily and I realized I barely use anything with SPF on them, which is probably not great.

I’ve tried a few regular lip balms and they’re fine for moisture, but once I switch to ones with SPF they sometimes feel weird or kinda dry after a while.

Not sure if it’s just the formula or I haven’t found a good one yet. I just want something I can use everyday that keeps lips soft and also gives some sun protection without that heavy or waxy feel.

Also noticed some people say higher SPF feels different on the lips, so I don’t know if going higher is always better or not.
