I've been wondering about this question for a decent while now but couldn't seem to get a clear answer from Google. It's mentioned in CoTe that students when they enter campus break off all affiliations with the outside word.
I understand that they're parents who sign off to have no relationship with the students while on campus. They can't call, check on them to etc.
However I was curious to what extent this holds. I read there were special occasions where this was not necessarily the case. But does it still apply when a student lose like a close loved one, a family member like their mother or father. Will the student be allowed to leave campus for the funeral. Or since there's no connection with the outside world, will they not know about it until they get expelled or graduate. Perhaps this was explained and I just didn't pay attention. Can someone help me out here.
