I’ve been building a small browser-based project inspired by roguelike mechanics, but specifically designed for people who play The Binding of Isaac.
Right now it’s a simple daily “guess the item” challenge with limited attempts and a streak system if you come back each day.
The goal is to expand it into multiple daily minigames based on recognition, memory, and game knowledge.
I’m trying to figure out if this kind of daily format actually works for a roguelike-style experience, or if it loses what makes the genre engaging over time.
Would something like this keep your interest, or does it go against what makes roguelikes fun?
(If it’s allowed, I can share the link in the comments)
