Hey there, client of RBC here. I am feeling overly frustrated with how controlling the banking feels over my funds and my actions. Anytime I do big transfers of money I do anything they ask and sometimes they just end up telling me to visit the branch...when I visit branch I stay in line and wait, just to get told to call the number on the back of the credit card... Sure I call, after 20 minutes of waiting on the line I was met with a typical customer service voice in which I was asked questions in a kind of rude way ( I understand that it is for security measures and they have to be this way but read what happens next) after answering all questions correct, I was told that I have to go to the branch AGAIN and show two pieces of ID and the assistant just hanged up on me, did not even let me ask why or any other questions..... Few days after...I went back to the RBC branch, with two pieces of ID . This time they called the number themselves and spoke to it. I was told that they have completely cancelled my credit card and will send a new one and it will arrive at the branch in 5 days and I would have to visit it and pick it up myself.

I am so tired of RBC , has anyone else experienced that kind of treatment? Why am I unable to do my own purchases/transfers and get met with this kind of disrespect and dismissal from literally anyone at this bank.

I have sent 3000$ e-transfer to my son for his graduation gift (he is moving out). Once again I was asked pin/id/put card to the phone. Everything has been done, the transfer has been sent or I would say ... "Withdrawn from your account" , I got a few alerts on my email/number/app but it's been around a day and my son has not received it yet.. do I have to call the bank and do this bs with visiting the branch again? I am sorry but I work overtime and I am so done with this, anyone has any good bank suggestions? I been looking into wealthsimple, it kinda feels like a pyramid scheme (in a way that it's too good to be true haha)

I just dunno, I have kind of fatigue from RBC and the way they treat me, not sure what am I doing wrong here, any advice welcome
