Looking at buying a car from a private dealer that was just recently imported into Ireland. The car is a good price with low mileage. Noticed is well that they had “carhoc” around the plates so I decided to look them up.

I spotted the same car sold 2 months ago, or so I believe it is the same car as it has the same:
- Colour
- Wheels
- Interior quirks
- Mileage
- Year

But one thing I noticed was that carhoc had the car as a 2.0L (the car I am looking at is a 1.8L) and at a much higher price than the private dealer is now selling it for. Unless they are different cars but then again, what’s the coincidence of both of these having the exact same mileage’s on the dot and everything else the same as well as being sold within a close timeframe?

The private dealer on DoneDeal also only recently created his account. Should I avoid?

Looking at getting an Audi TT MK2 2014 1.8L petrol. I spotted one for sale with 68000km at 12500€. Where I am from they usually start at this price but with the mileage much higher and also usually an earlier year.

Considering it’s 2014 and only 68000km that means it’s been roughly drive 5600km per year. The owner also states this is a Japan import with one previous owner. How likely is that this TT has been potentially clocked and could this be too good to be true?
