New to This - Please Rate My Laundry Stack

I’ve literally never cared about laundry. Always just picked some fragrance free detergent and kept moving. I did not separate clothes/fabrics/towel/sheets, did not pretreat anything, dried my clothes until they were hot to the touch and dry. That life is behind me as I’ve been inspired by this sub...to a limit.

I’m aiming for an everyday use laundry product stack for all loads. We don’t have a lot of clothes or clothes that are fancy or delicate clothes. I may eventually get fabric type or stain type specific with my laundry care, but not just yet. Easing into this. With that said, I would really appreciate a critique of my new laundry stack and whether it’s appropriate for an everyday load. Thank you for any help!

Washer:

  • Whirlpool LSR9434PQ4 (old top load washer with 3.2cuft capacity)

Dryer:

  • Whirlpool LER5636PQ0 (old dryer with about 6 cuft capacity)

Water Quality (2026 Water quality report):

  • Total Hardness = 205
  • TDS = 224 ppm
  • Iron = ND
  • Magnesium = ND
  • pH = 7.0-7.8

Laundry Supplies (amount and use):

  • FEBU 7 Enzyme Formula with DNase (2 scoops per load into drum)
  • Tide Ultra Hygienic Clean Liquid (filled to line 4 and poured into drum)
  • Food grade citric acid powder (2 tsp into fabric softener dispenser in agitator)
  • Shout Triple Acting spray as needed (spray on stains as noticed then left to sit until next day)

Additional Info:

  • Descaled my washer with the citric acid in an empty hot water cycle before using this laundry stack.
