Nervous about the health of this aquarium at my college
One of the buildings at my college has a study room with a fish tank, and I’m a little nervous that the tank isn’t as healthy as it should be. I don’t know if the sides of the tank are being cleaned regularly, and the tank’s one fish resident seems very anxious. One time I walked into the room and turned the lights on, and the fish stopped swimming in the open and went to hide. The fish seems to mostly hide at the very back of the tank behind a rock (first image). There are a ton of snails in the tank and I’m guessing they’re doing well for the most part, but I feel like they deserve better than plastic plants.
I’m thinking of emailing the college about how to improve the fish tank, but I don’t know much about fish tanks. How can this tank be improved?
