Watch recommendation help please
hi everyone, am a 40 yo male getting in to fitness again, week 3. looking for a watch.
I'm hitting the gym 3 times a week and running 3 to 4 times - increasing to 5 next week. very out of shape, first run I couldn't continuously run 1klm by the 6th run in week two I ran a continuous 10klm which I was happy with, so some improvement there. extra weight doesn't help at around 186 and103/4kg.
I'm new to training but taking it seriously and also have registered for my first 10klm event in May.
I use an h10 (older model) which I really like, but with park runs etc I like not taking my phone with me.
I think I'd like to stay in the polar ecosystem. I think I'd really like the Vantage V3 at the moment but a touch out of my price range. I'd love to hear people's recommendations on what I should be considering. part of me is considering the polar pacer pro, but then I feel like if I'm spending that amount of money maybe I should just wait a month or two and get the vantage V3, but then I also feel that extra money could be out to use on other things to help my journey, event fees, shoes, nutrition... or not!
what's important to me is training assistance (as a noob), sleep tracking, seamless integration with the h10, decent battery would be nice but not necessarily essential, I would like GPS for my outdoor runs so I don't have to take my phone - unfortunately this cancels out the loop which I really wanted.
I'll be making fitness as a long term commitment as I'm looking to change career into the services, ideally I don't like the idea of waste and out growing or buying some new again inn6-12 months.
any and all advice appreciated, thanks fam
