Will you please help me choose a new SUV?
Current vehicle- 2012 Honda CRV EX purchased new on arrival in Hawaii- I’d been on a tiny island in the Central Pacific for 8 years without a car, bought the Honda without driving it after researching the right car for my lifestyle. Boat captain, avid scuba diver, dog mom, hiker.
Honda has been amazing. Zero complaints. But, its time.
Moved to Texas in ‘22, its ‘26; I’m now married, maritime business owner, stepmom, dog mom, frequent roadtripper, wife of tugboat captain/ fireman, small farm owner. Southeast Texas homeowner with large extended family that will occasionally need rescue from floods - vehicular musts:
4WD
Excellent AC
Reliable
Towing capacity
Heated/ ventilated seats
Room for large humans (husband does not fit in the Honda)
Not Ford
Not Stellantis
V6 inline or V8
Current list: ‘22 Toyota Sequoia Platinum (hard to find with low mileage at a reasonable price); Grenadier - is this a good idea?
Open to suggestions with logical reasoning please!
