I am on the top floor of a 3 storey appt block in the eastern suburbs of Sydney and I have been researching compost bins and worm farms but really can’t decide on which.

i have a large outdoor floor plan across my terrace and balconies with raised garden beds all around the edges of each. the terrace is west facing and gets a lot of sun so too hot; but I have an east facing balcony that is rather protected.

we are renting so need to ensure we don’t stain our outdoor tiles. we could also put any bin or farm directly into the garden bed as long as it’s not too big.

We are 2 adults, in terms of waste. I try very very hard not to waste food, so veggies and food products are just offcuts or skins. we would have a little bit of dairy/meat waste but not much (and could just green bin it if need be), it would be bones for example.

what is the easiest for food waste in the eastern suburbs climate, with the above household profile? I have never composted before so it’s all completely new to me. what is easiest to learn and maintain?

and- what size should we get? i probably have about 8-10m square of garden with lillipillies, lavander and some natives that would be careful composting as i read they don’t cope well sometimes.

I’m sure this has been asked before but I have been googling and searching reddit and I can’t find anything specific enough.
i can’t decide which is more suited-
