I had sinus surgery on 4/22:

—balloon dilation of the maxillary and sphenoid sinuses
—turbinate reduction
—septoplasty

And I feel absolutely horrible. I was awake for the procedure with just local anesthesia. I had a full on panic attack halfway through the procedure, but he managed to finish. I threw up and had the cold sweats non stop from Wednesday to Sunday. It took 2 bags of fluid and countless zofran doses to stop throwing up.

Only now, I have the most splitting headaches. They range from a constant tension headache - to a thunderclap headache at any strain whatsoever. The ER and my surgeon couldn’t take me any less seriously. My ENT originally told me 24-48 hours for recovery. Has anyone else experienced any of this?

And I’m deathly allergic to NSAIDs, which I know doesn’t help. Please can anyone share any tips for relief or even just validate me still feeling this horrible almost 2 weeks later?

I’m still a newbie, but I’m steadily improving thanks to this community and I wanted to share some with you all! So far my favorite is Mexican Lace Agate, Desert Jasper, or Mozambique Agate. That initial rinse after a tumble - you never know what’s going to turn up. I mean you know what your ordered, but still! And some look one way only to be flipped over and look completely different on the other side! Maybe it’s only my 8,000 polish, but I like a little imperfection. I do want to get the 22,000 grit for the shine and I’m going to try an ultrasonic cleaner, too. I’ve also started making necklaces with the rocks and it’s as equally relaxing and pretty. Thanks for looking! Please give me any and all advice!!

The first one - no matter where you look, the eyes follow you! Are those bruises? I don’t even think I remember what kind of rock it is.

The second one has two little divots and each thumb fits perfectly. I struggle with anxiety at times, and I carry this bad boy in my pocket most everywhere. It’s my favorite, by far.

The last two pics are of the same rock - Desert Jasper. Definitely one of those that looks one way on one side only to look completely different on the other side.

I lied - honorable mention to the rock my 7 year old boy snagged from a restaurant landscaping “because it looks cool” ❤️❤️

Lastly - if you haven’t already, please watch Shrinking on Apple TV. It’s absolutely a moral imperative. I want to be Liz when I grow up!!
