are these likely to be bed bug bites?

Please help, I'm going a bit insane. These are the only two bites, they are on my lower left leg. I fear they might be bed bug bites because I discovered them in the morning after sleeping in a different bed than usual - our guest room is the only room in our apartment that has AC, and it was unusually hot this week. I woke up early because of intense itching. I wonder if a friend might have brought bed bugs in by accident, or if we might have picked them up from frequent thrift shopping?

I am heavily allergic to mosquitoes and familiar with what that looks like on me, and can tell these don't look the same. I don't have much experience with other kinds of bug bites, so I really can't tell beyond not mosquitoes, but being bitten while sleeping at home has me really spooked. However, the bites don't seem to match the typical cluster/line patterns I've read about, I haven't been bitten again, and I have been stressing for days examining mattresses and bedding and found no other signs. No blood specks, no dark stains, no bugs or eggs anywhere. Could it be the early stage of an infestation? Should I be worried about bed bugs, or am I just driving myself nuts?

I'm in the Pacific Northwest if that helps with anything. No pets. Thanks a ton.
