Hey everyone,
I’m looking to expand my social circle with people in their early twenties. I’m a full-time student working a minimum-wage job in a kitchen, so I’m really looking for a sense of community and stability that fits a busy schedule and a budget.
A bit about me:
• Hobbies: I love being active—hiking, surfing, and rock climbing (though climbing is pricey, so I do not currently have a membership, I’m still open to it!). I also enjoy making music, various art forms, cooking, and I want to get into playing DnD.
• Interests: I’m a big fan of biology and natural sciences. I also love volunteering with animals.
• Lifestyle: I don’t use substances, though I don’t mind if others do (assuming no hard drugs). I don't drive, but I'm happy to transit or chip in for gas/snacks for longer group trips.
On Faith & Community:
I was raised as an atheist-Jew and I’m bisexual, but I’m currently interested in exploring Christianity. I’m not looking to convert overnight; I’m mostly interested in the hope, moral code, and community that comes with faith, and volunteering together. I'm planning to attend church with a friend for the first time soon to see how it goes.
What I’m looking for:
I’ve found it difficult to find reliable friends at school. I’m looking for social, volunteer, or religious gatherings that provide a sense of routine and a way to help others.
My question is:
What local groups or opportunities are available for young adults that focus on community and making a positive impact?
(I had AI edit this by the way.)
