Globally, we are ill-prepared for L2K Panic

Many of you are too young to have experienced this, but 26 years ago we faced Y2K. The world’s best minds worked around the clock to prevent a data disaster that would send us back to the stone ages.

We are now rapidly approaching L2K (LeBron’s 2000th nba game including playoffs), and we havent prepared for a post LeBron world. This go around may have the opposite effect.. An NBA filled with bots to maintain the longevity of our current stars, starting with LeBot J2000.

My Week of CTR

This is not a bragging post, I’m not nearly as good as many of you, just thought this data and skill progression was interesting.

I spent much of the last 10 days playing CTR, going 160-9 on normal mode, longest streak 52 wins. This consisted of multiple single races on all tracks. Obviously this a good indicator to up the difficulty.. I then played hard story mode and the results were:
(The numbers indicate how many attempts they took to win)

Crash Cove 8
Roos Tubes 3
Mystery Caves 1
Sewer Speedway 3
Ripper Roos Challenge 1

Coco park 1
Tiger Temple 1
Papu’s Pyramid 3
Dingo Canyon 1
Papu’s Challenge 1

Blizzard Bluff 11
Dragon Mines 1
Polar Pass 1
Tiny Arena 2
Komodo Joe’s Challenge 1

N Gin Labs 2
Cortex Castle 5
Hot Air Skyway 4
Oxide Station 1
Pinstripe Challenge 1
Oxide Challenge 3

BONUS races:
Megamix Mania 18
Drive Thru Danger 29

Final results:
160-9 (Normal Mode) 94.7%
21-34 (Hard Mode) 38.2%
excluding bonus races

I’m actually surprised I did this well, but eff those last 2.. Those 169 games prepped me for this. My last go around on CTR I couldn’t get past Mystery Caves.
Didn’t find any classic maps particularly hard other than Crash Cove, Blizzard Bluff and Cortex Castle.

What are the hardest maps for you on hard?
