My tank is now 5 months old and in those 5 months I have never had a Nitrate or Phosphate reading.
Tank:
IM 25 Gallon

Fish:
2 Storm Clownfish
1 Tailspot Blenny
1 Rainfords Goby
1 Yasha Goby
1 Pistol Shrimp
1 Trochus snail
1 Large Turbo Snail
1 Large Nassarius Snail
A bunch of Blue Leg Hermits

Coral:
Mostly LPS..
Hammer,Torch,Duncan,Acan,Favia
Some Softies..
Zoas,Toadstool, Mushroom, GSP
Easy SPS..
Montis,Lepto

Parameters:
Kh-8
Ca-415
Mg-1280(this is a little lower than I want and I am slowly rising it)
No3/Po4- ZERO

My tank is doing okay.. there is nothing that is really dying. However in 5 months or so the only growth that I’ve had is a couple new Zoa polyps. My GSP has literally not grown at all in 4.5 months.
I feed about a third of a Mysis shrimp cube a day, and occasionally I spotfeed reef roids

Do you think that it is worth trying to raise No3/Po4?
Or do you think that stability is best and continue regular maintenance and just continue to run the tank ULN with undetectable nutrient levels?

Any help is appreciated!

I’ve had this Acan for a month now and I have a couple questions..

-Ive seen super puffy/extended Acans online.. will my Acan extend like those ones? I do not know the type/species of mine, so I am not sure if they are just different species.

-Some people complain about “rainbow” varieties changing to boring red corals in their tanks… this is a pretty boring red type, is there a way to know if I spend more money on a better looking variety will my tank support rainbow colors on more expensive frags?

All other Acan advice welcome!
Thanks!!
