My necrons are finally getting up to 2k. They have been my first 40K army since returning to the hobby from my high elves as a kid.

I’m happy with them and have learnt a lot about painting but feel there is something missing at the end. Bases. Bases and environmental storytelling.

I’ve done a bit of green crackle lava paint on some models but feel it could go further.

I like the ideas of overgrown necrons and a jungle theme and also a snow environment theme too (might save this for my Skaven though).

Any suggestions on what might make them pop a bit more?

Any ways to elevate it? I feel like I’ve taken it to the point I am table top happy but want to put it slightly further.
