Hi guys,
i have had myopia since I was 14 (I’m now 32) and my prescription has been stable at -4.75 pretty much the entire life. Without glasses, my eyesight is very blurry and so I’m reliant on glasses at all times. In the last 6 months I’ve had dry eyes and I’ve stopped wearing contact lenses. I have started used artificial drops more and the craziest thing I’ve noticed is when I put my eye drops in, I can read small text that normally wouldn’t have even been visible to me across the room quite easily—only for about few minutes before it disappears again. Same with when I do heat masks, when I take the mask off, my vision is HD clear like when I’m wearing my glasses/contact lenses. I don’t understand the science behind this as I’ve always had myopia and i haven’t always had dry eye and its only recently gotten bad and I linked it to my contact lens use throughout the years.
I’m fascinated though. Could anyone be kind so as to explain why this happens please? Thank you
