Co Workers who don’t like you

We’ve recently had a shift in positions which has landed me some where roughly in middle management. Not a boss but ive been there the longest — putting me in charge of training new coworkers and directing old ones. I feel my personality is not fit to lead — but with the sudden gaps In position I’ve transitioned best I can.

Our work flow is akin to a river, someone start on a form and I, along with 2 new hires finish them up and process them. During this process I’ve had to be more direct and ask a lot more from my team. Two co workers, one new and the other seasoned, have been giving me a bit of an attitude — ive chalked it’s up to maybe a bad day.

WRONG, it’s persistent. We’ve recently had a new girl start (pretty grateful AS I was the only one for the longest time). I’ve noticed she doesn’t get that same sour face or kurt responses. I’m never angry or demanding, but i try and be direct as they are with me since they really seem to dislike any small talk.

anyone been through this?
