Back in 2023, I went to Menbaka Fire Ramen in Kyoto but the queue was incredibly long, so I looked on Google Maps for a nearby alternative and found a small ramen shop about 10 minutes walk away.

The place was very small and intimate, run by an old man. The exterior had almost no signs, and everything was written only in Japanese. At the entrance there was a vending machine (ticket machine) entirely in Japanese to choose the type of ramen. Inside there was a single long counter facing the wall — no regular tables.

The ramen was absolutely delicious. I only have this one photo of the bowl. Unfortunately Google deleted all my data prior to 2025, so I lost the Maps history.

Does anyone recognize this place? I would love to go back next time I visit Kyoto!
