Hey everyone!

Second book is up on Royal Road. It's called The Lane Boy: A Tale of Beasts and Bowling. This one is still going, but will likely be done within a couple months. Added photo for my completed series, in case you didn't see that promo post recently.

As of this post, there are 20 chapters published including a prologue.

Temporary cover made using AI, though the story itself hasn't seen a lick of any AI. Not even for editing. Still on the prowl for a cover artist that fits what I'm looking for. As you can see by the cover, there are animal-humanoid characters and a human MC.

Here's my current synopsis:

What if you were on the verge of the best game of your life, but died? What if a husky-looking deity with a nature for sports summoned you to his planet? What if the love of your life died during childbirth and you've been miserably running on autopilot for years? These are the questions that keep us up at night.

***********************************

One frame away from bowling a perfect game, Torryn Hope suffers from a brain aneurysm. Late-Thirties. Former soldier. Amateur bowler. Widowed. And now he himself has died. You’d assume that would be the end of it.

Instead, it was a new beginning.

Summoned from Earth to Animas—a world filled with animal-people who walk upright, craft, and wage wars like anywhere else– Torryn is less interested in “divine purpose” and more interested in figuring out where to get a decent pastry, browse markets, and make a few honest friends.

The local gods, however, have other plans. Some call him a chosen one. Others call him a threat. Torryn would rather they direct him to the nearest bowling alley.

Armed with dry wit, a bowler’s instinct, and absolutely no desire to be a hero, The Lane Boy is a whimsical, gritty tale about second chances, unlikely friendships, and the freedom to choose your own path—even if that means being a team player.
