How I feel now having finished the game for the first time...

So I finished my first playthrough about a week ago and I'm sure a lot of players felt the same way when they finished theirs. I have a lot of games in my Steam account and I usually play about an hour every day on average, much more on weekends.

Now, I found myself:

  1. Using Days Gone keyboard and mouse shortcuts in other games. Muscle memory I guess.

  2. Wishing some of my favorite games of all time (including Far Cry X and Mad Max) would have some of the small characteristics of Days Gone. I previously thought they were perfect.

  3. Most importantly, losing interest in basically any other game in my Steam account.

The game is much more influential than I thought. Your first horde, finding yourself in an empty area at night (chilling), running around (business as usual) and hearing that amazingly creepy and awesome music, leveling up and ending up hunting freaks yourself, as opposed to them hunting you (killing Breakers with a melee weapon is my favorite)...

I've been a PC gamer since the early 90s, so I'm not new to basically any genre. The one thing I also realized, is that you get even more attached to it once you realize it's almost done.

Seriously, very well made game. Hats off 🫡
