Seeking Guidance for B2B business

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working in the leather goods industry for a little over a year now, mainly around manufacturing and export of products like wallets, bags, belts, and accessories from Pakistan.

Recently, I’ve decided to start building my own small export setup and directly work with international buyers, especially in the US and UK markets. I’m still in the early phase of this journey and trying to understand the most effective ways to find genuine B2B buyers.

I’m not trying to sell anything here — just genuinely looking for guidance from people who have experience in this space.

A few things I’m trying to figure out:

  • What are the best platforms or methods to reach real wholesale / private label buyers?
  • How do small exporters usually build their first few consistent clients?
  • Is LinkedIn outreach still effective in 2026 for this industry?
  • Any tips on avoiding time-wasters or fake inquiries?

Also, if there are people already working in sourcing, sales, or business development who might be interested in a commission-based collaboration (around 10–20%) for connecting genuine buyers, I’d be open to learning how such partnerships are usually structured — but again, this is not a sales pitch, just exploring possibilities.

Would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences from people who’ve been through this stage.

Thanks in advance.
