Hey all, my husband and I are buying a house without a garage and are going to need to build a shed first thing upon moving in. We currently have a one car garage that’s packed to the gills with toolboxes, a welder, camping and fishing equipment, several surfboards, 8 bikes, etc. so we’re stressing a bit about how to make this happen.

We can’t build a garage right away, so the shed(s) will need to last a couple years. We can have a shed up to 120 square feet without permits, which I think should suffice for our bulky/irregularly shaped items. The new backyard also has a few concrete slabs that had been poured years ago, the biggest being 16’x11.75’, so we’ll get a shed that fits within that area. Any brand/model recommendations for a primary shed? Preferably under $2500. We’re pretty handy, have tools, and are fine with putting one together on our own.

Additionally, I’d love a recommendation for a smaller secondary shed (perhaps one of those vertical sheds?) that would fit 12 or so of those 27 gallon black and yellow storage boxes really well.

Any advice for storing and organizing our gear is welcome. I might sell one bike and store my surfboards at work, but aside from that am not planning on selling anything or paring down much. Thanks in advance!
