Best resources for young job hunter?

I just moved to Austin, so I don't have any "connections" to get a foot in the door. The internet has always been my go-to place to find jobs, and I have gotten jobs from online applications in the past, but the online job market has become so plagued with fake job listings and various sorts of scams and unreliable third-party recruiting sites that it's become pretty exhausting trying to navigate it. So, my question to y'all: do you have any recommendations for resources, online or in-person, for someone like me trying to find a job here in Austin?

For context, I'm a 25yr old guy with some experience but in a lot of different fields. I graduated in marketing, then did a year of zoo school, then did retail for about 6 months (stocking & cashiering), and have been doing online AI gig work (DataAnnotation) for the past year or so, but that well's starting to dry up. At this point, I'm open to most things as long as they pay at least $15/hr and the commute isn't too crazy (I'm in manor rn but hoping to move closer to the city in the near future). But I know finding any kind of job that doesn't require 3+ years of 'relevant experience', references, and a specific degree is a kind of holy grail at this point.

I'd appreciate any tips!

Calling all Laser Tag Fans!

Hello! I recently moved to Austin and been trying to build up my social life. I used to love laser tag as a kid and would love to get back into it but I'd feel a bit weird going by myself. Would anyone be interested in doing a get-together and forming a team? The place called Blazer Tag would be my first choice since I have fond memories of there as a kid but I'd be open to other suggestions. If you're interested, lmk! I checked meetup.com and looked around online but didn't see any dedicated groups or clubs. If enough people are interested, I'd be down to create one and maybe put it on Meetup.
