Normal & Lockdown cheese is a game design choice.

It simply has to be part of the game, they can fix it overnight as they already don’t allow you to do it for secure ops, they also used to allow you to bring spare face shields too but stopped that with a small patch.

So the best you can do is either abuse it yourself or reap the rewards of people choosing to bring excessive value into a raid.

That’s it. The devs either don’t care or don’t listen, or they do and it’s created that way on purpose.

Looks over function gun builds.

Seen a few lately and thought it would be amazing to see some more gun builds people use for form over function.

Post yours below,

Here is my current 416 off meta build.

The game has issues, the reddit, discord and steam forums will show that. The multitude of youtube videos, the currently as of writing this, mixed rating on steam.

I am nobody but a keen player of the game, I have vast experience in the extraction shooter genre and I just want to say, devs here is how to fix your game.

The MAIN problem with ABI is that it ignores players choice and chooses for you, you as a player get dictated the meta, dictated who you play against and dictated to how you play. Below I will elaborate.

Normals need to hard lock to T4 gear and T3 ammo, remove ability take disassembled gun into raid and do not allow anyone with stash value about 250m into normals.

The first one, ok I get it sometimes people enjoy noob stomping and going into a normal raid to warm up and shit on some new players but it is genuinely killing the growth of the game.

I have personally had multiple people quit or give up playing because of how bad the new player situation is at the moment and I am talking mostly ex Tarkov players so not completely alien to the genre.

There is NO reason for T5/T6 ammo to be allowed in the normal mode, or T5 armour, or guns that break the entry value. It is hurting the game, because if you are completely new you may not realise that it isn’t a fair playing field.

If it was T4 gear and T3 ammo this would make fights longer, more meaty and overall more full-filling. It gives newer players a fighting chance to actually have combat instead of insta dying and it also helps to combat ratting and bush camping as it gives the person getting ratted a chance to retaliate.

Newer players should expect to fight newer players, simply put.

Diversify the gun pool.

You either run one of the 191s or HK, if you don’t you are simply at a disadvantage. Now I know a meta is part of the game and believe me as someone with 30+ U191s in my stash, I won’t sit there and tell you to stop using the broken weapon.

However, it is not ok, why does the G3 have around 30 meters of range, why is the FAL low fire power regardless of barrel? Why is the VSS uncontrollable regardless of mods?

The list could go on but currently you have 3 king guns (4 if you must include the T192) and then you have your A+ tier guns like your AEKs, AK12s etc and then you simply have everything else. Like I personally enjoy the MCX as it looks cool but could I run it in forbidden instead of a U191 and expect to have the same outcomes? No.

Also people are quick to just want to nerf this gun and nerf that gun, is a race to the bottom really what we want? I say, bring more guns up to the viable level and let people choose.

Urban/Indoor map.

For most people, you could squint your eyes and think valley, northridge and armoury (Arguably airport) are the same map, a main POI with irrelevant empty space surrounding it, ok, Northridge has decent lesser POIs I get it, but TV station being the ONLY inside map becomes stale after a while, not everyone wants 10 minutes of running through a forest just to find a fight.

Weak seasons.

Updates have gotten weaker as the game has gone on, this season being the weakest, we got two new weapons, one being pretty much the same as it’s bigger better brother, the T191/192.

Two new guns, a modified version if a map that already exists and some new skins is simply not good enough to warrant a whole new season for many.

Red ammo was not the issue, entry value was and still is.

Let’s face it, we all hate rat tappers unless you are one, but the solution to destroy yet more guns in a 3 gun meta, purely because they can run red ammo was a bad move. The Mosin, SVT and M110 became absolutely metagame irrelevant, without the actual problem being fixed.

The problem most people had, including myself, was that the entry value to forbidden was so low that you would run a 2,000,000+ kit and either be tapped by someone who can risk virtually nothing as ammo lives inside the same container and the entry value is met by a gun and a pair of headphones or have a fight with a guy only to loot him to find crusty T4 that’s seen better days even for lockdown. The entry for forbidden should be minimum 1,000,000 and then at least then everyone becomes worth killing despite their chosen play-style, rat or chad, you wouldn’t go to the high rollers table and expect to walk away with the jackpot when you yourself only bring shirt buttons so why should the game be the same.

Too many bots for newer players and poor matchmaking.

Ok we get it, it’s a Tencent owned game so naturally fake player bots are part of the game, but you should let people CHOOSE to wait longer to find a lobby with JUST humans in normal or lockdown.

Likewise, let solos CHOOSE to wait longer to find a game of likeminded solos and remove solo ops as a game mode as no one seriously plays it other than rats, actual chads just play regular forbidden.
