Obsidian needs a standard location for icon packs

I noticed that I have several plugins that utilize item packs and even if they use the exact same icon pack they don't register that I already installed it and install it again under their directory. I think it's pretty annoying, especially if some plugins help you with installing some nice icon packs others don't use. For consistency and to avoid duplication, it would make sense to have them installed in a icons folder in the .Obsidian directory rather than the plugin one, so all plugins can see if it's installed there and utilize it.

Since it's really popular to change icons and Obsidian itself now offers to change the icon, I think the feature is warranted and should work similarly like the CSS snippets folder. it doesn't need to be there by default, but if you choose to use icon packs, you should have a common location for it.

I hope my suggestion gets positive feedback.

Hello, I use a lot of macros and I like to use mice. Since my brain seems to be too stupid to distinguish buttons like from a MMO mouse, I want to have a mouse with a lot of side and top buttons where the buttons don't form a grid (like the 3×3 numpad) and/or have differently shaped buttons. I could swear while browsing I found a mouse that fits me with over 20 buttons, but I can't find it again. Searching for multi button mice sometimes just shows up with just 18 buttons. That's not much.

I hope this is the place where the experts know some mouse that does what I want.

Since I have other mice, I wouldn't even care for smooth scrolling, anywhere tracking and such. Just gimme buttons. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I recently saw that MNT sells a Neo2 layout in their laptops, but there are just too expensive for me. However, I believe that I very much would profit from a Neo2 layout. Last time I checked (a few years ago) there was nothing available but to make it yourself completely one way or another (most group members seem to just put paper on their existing ISO keyboard or color new kaps).

So what's new here now? I just learned of the DK6 which seems like a really cool way to test different key arrangements.

What else have I been missing out on?

Any service that prints my keycaps for me (more importantly actual 5 layers of it?)

Thanks for your help!

Hi, I am searching for an alternative to the Pociter One since the manufacturer of this neat board went bankrupt. It's a devbboard you don't have to add sensors and it's tiny.

I am searching for

  • a size of 2 credits card max
  • mic and speakers (can be shitty, just exist)
  • GPS/ Glossnas
  • temperature sensor
  • 3 axis acceleration sensor
  • light sensor
  • wifi & Bluetooth
  • battery (small one is fine)
  • screen
  • buttons

I think badges like badger are a close match, but they all aren't that good for wearable development/ portable weather station development. Bonus points for RTC.

Does someone have an idea? Ideally it's remotely as compact as pocuter one was and I don't have to add a bunch of sensors.

Thanks in advance!

Dear Community, i totally get the appeal of a mini Pc and I definitely wanna have some in my Proxmox Cluster. Fantastic devices.

For mobile use I have to ask myself though, if I can get the same or more performance with an old business laptop (usually i5 or i7 with GPU) or with building my own mini Pc setup with monitor.

What are your takes? What is the strongest mini Pc that costs less than 400€?

Thanks in advance
