"إِنّا غَيْرُ مُهْمِلينَ لِمُراعاتِكُمْ، وَلا ناسينَ لِذِكْرِكُمْ، وَلَوْ لا ذلِكَ لَنَزَلَ بِكُمُ اللَّأْواءُ (الشدائد)، وَاصْطَلَمَكُمُ (استأصلكم) الْأَعْداءُ. فَاتَّقُوا اللهَ جَلَّ جَلالُهُ وَظاهِرُونا."

English Translation

In a blessed Tawqi' (letter) issued from Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his noble reappearance) to Sheikh Al-Mufid, the Imam says:

"Verily, We are neither neglectful of your affairs, nor are We forgetful of your remembrance. Had it not been for this, hardships would have descended upon you and your enemies would have wiped you out. Therefore, fear Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and support us."
