Hello, me and my husband recently got a one year-old dog. They said he was full Australian Shepherd, but he looks like he has some lab in him. Anyways everything was cool but recently he just won’t stop biting me. If I’m not constantly petting him, he will bite me. I feel like I’ve tried everything, redirecting him, putting a toy in his mouth, putting him in the kennel, closing his mouth and telling him no. Sometimes he seriously hurts me and I worry about my safety since I’m home alone most days when my husband is at his second job and I’m scared. I don’t want to bring him back but I feel like I might have to. I literally walk him for 1-2 hours a day, train him for 30 minutes, and I also play fetch with him in my apartments dog park and he still bites me. Mainly my face, ankles, thighs, stomach. Last night he scared tf out of me because he put my whole hand in his mouth and bit down. Should I rehome him? I’m not sure man I feel bad and I like the dog but nothing works except putting him in his kennel. If I disengage and go in a corner until he calms down he will still bite me. Mind you this dog is about half my weight, I genuinely think he could end me if he wanted to. Some nights I’m scared he will. Any advice would be appreciated I’m just so tired.
