From WoBs and the general cosmere story so far we know hoid uses fortune to be where "he needs to be". 2 questions i had:

1. Is it really where he needs to be or is it where he is needed.

2. How far into the future does he know of when he needs to be.

I ask this in thought of whether he sees a fortune at a point in time from which he cannot see more like in 1000+ years he sees just black like spoilers for DC Watchmen doomsday clock where Mr. Manhattan does not see the future past his "death".
