Hello, I am currently a psychology major + biology minor undergrad student graduating soon. I really don’t know exactly what I want to do.

I initially was a biology student but did bad in classes so transferred to psychology which I enjoy but I do not know how to exactly pinpoint what I want to do. At first I thought I wanted to do clinical Neuropsychology so I would need to get my PhD but I don’t know if I’d be happy doing that actually. I love the idea of neuroscience including psychology and the idea of research but get scared that first, my track record isn’t clean enough (currently have a 2.7 GPA which has improved over years and plan on ending with a 3.0 with the current trajectory and a few major classes in bio that I didn’t do well in) and second, I get there and feel as if the career is very repetitive, with no possible change in subject that I would no longer enjoy it. I may not have the most accurate idea of how research looks so I might be worried for wrong thing. I’ve been trying to get into internships and research programs but I really don’t think with my track record that I’ll be able to get into one. I know I won’t enjoy the idea of case working or HR, I enjoy interacting with people but want to include more science into it. This makes me wonder if I should lean more into biology again.

When I was a biology student I wanted to go either into dermatology or epidemiology and wonder if that’s what I’d be actually interested in. I would be interested in going back for either of those but I truly don’t think I’d be able to go into dermatology since they require medical school and with my history I won’t be accepted.

Currently I’ve been contemplating just finishing undergrad, take post bacc classes that could strengthen my record and maybe expand possible career insights while keep trying to apply to research and internships. But in the far future I still don’t know what it’s going to look like.

It feels like I am stagnant while I see everyone else passing by knowing what exactly they want to do or just are in better positions that they’ll actually be able to achieve it. If anyone has ANY advice or suggestions on any career fields, research, etc ANYTHING I’d love to hear it!

Long post, Thank you for your time😙
