I just finished watching the series and I have to say wow, what a great show! I already missed it when it was over, so I rewatched season 1 episode 1. In the flashbacks at the very end of the show, Smurf drops Julia off under the bridge and says something about that money will be the last her or her bastard son would ever see from her. But going back and rewatching episode 1, it seemed like Smurf actually had no resentment about letting J come to stay with them. Knowing what I know now after watching the finale, I feel like she would’ve been a little bit more hesitant or cold towards him with how much she hated Julia at the end. What do you guys think?
