A true eye opener Game 6 was for the Nuggets organization; Mind you, this was the best roster in the Jok era

Losing against the spurs/OKC comes with excuses such as defending champs and upcoming team with a ton of talent and a young superstar in Wemby. Nothing was going to be addressed aside from “we will get them next time” or “man if we had AG or Pwat we would have a chance” and while I agree those two players are pivotal to the team… we still had 4 starters out there playing while Timberwolves were missing their 4 backcourt players.

Watching the poor perimeter defense, the Jamal/Jok PnR get shut down, and the lack of trust from the coaching staff to give more role players minutes really shines a light on the true problems. There was NO excuse to lose that game or even the series… and that’s why this loss was the best outcome for the organization… you can’t use the excuse of losing to OKC in 7 or the spurs in 7 because we weren’t close.

The Nuggets now have to make decisions that aren’t just simply adding role players but move a lot of people around and also adding more sets to the offense that isn’t Jok/Mal PnR.
