Hey, I'm making a guide of tips for incoming commuters; reply with any additional advice you have!

  1. Presto: You're eligible for Youth/Post-Secondary card and tuition includes a free HSR pass if you're coming from Hamilton.

  2. Bus schedules: Can be inconsistent, make sure you're at the stop at least 5 minutes before the bus if you want to ensure a spot.

  3. Crowded: Bus lines get long coming into mac for busses that reach ~8:20 and ~9:20AM

-work around them by catching earlier busses eg. bus reaches 9:05 rather than 9:20 or avoiding early classes

Coming back from Mac 3:30 - 5:30pm.
-Lowkey, lines stay long but everyone leaves class at X:20 (20 past 3, 4, etc), so you could join a shorter line at X:00

4: Rent a locker if you're active on campus: wanna join clubs, hit the gym, etc.

5: Eating on campus: pack lunch if you can. easy/cheap options i'd recommend are MSU market (MUSC) for to-go sandwiches and bistro2go (MKR), 1280's great when you want something yummy/fillling but wait time's long, try off-campus places too

6: try to condense your schedules and get a day off, avoid having just one class on monday for example

7: Get a powerbank or borrow chargers from Mills/ Thode Library
