im a teen. for years, i‘ve wanted to go vegan but my parents stop me every time. Here are their main concerns:

  1. ‘’Meat has lots of brain boosting nutrients in it such as choline, carnitine, zinc, B12 and selenium and if you don’t get enough of these nutrients, your mental health goes suffers’’ I already have anxiety, OCD and depression so this is slightly concerning.
  2. ‘’our ancestors had a vastly lower life expectancy because they didn’t have much meat. Human brains got bigger as they learn how to farm and gained more calories from consuming meat and dairy. Life expectancy increased proportionally.’’

Are these a real concern?

thanks
