Today was my second visit at Le Warehouse on Crescent street after my first visit with 3 other friends last Friday.
I made an early reservation, got there at 5:30pm, continuously ordered. The last time I was there with my friends (last Friday) they got there at 6 and I joined at 7 and we had no issues (my friends left the bar at 1am that day). This time I’m just with another friend. At 8:30pm a girl from the bar just nonchalantly told us “just to let you know there is a reservation for your table in 30 minutes” and left. I was wearing a Habs shirt and was watching the game very attentively.
I really do not get what happened there. I specifically went to a bar for the atmosphere and to get my friend into the hockey games. This is just such a horrible experience.
Is this normal??? Has this happened to anybody else?? I’m seriously confused…
EDIT: would appreciate recommandations about whee to go to not have this happen again! Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: I saw a couple comments categorizing Le Warehouse as a “restaurant” and not a “bar/pub”, which surprises me. I don’t know if the people commenting have been there but maybe they have. Lucille’s, La Cage and Trois-Brasseurs all feel much more like restaurants to me and yet even those places do not kick customers out in the middle of a playoff game. In addition, if Le Warehouse is actually a restaurant, then I’d really be expecting a clear explanantion of time limit like a lot of restaurants do. Ah and this restaurant does not serve water… the list goes on… calling this place a “restaurant” is actually more surprising to me than them kicking people out mid-play off game. All that being said, while I do not agree with the categorization of the place as a “restaurant” especially considering the atmosphere on game nights, I do get the point and appreciate the insights and will make sure to go to a very clear “bar” in the future to watch the game.
