Checking for water damage on a headphone speaker PCB

A pair of headphones I’ve got stopped working on one side recently, it feels like a loose wire issue as it fixes itself for a short while when I wiggle the headphone wire around in the speaker head itself, but I’ve opened it up and the wires themselves look fine. I had an old pair that stopped working ages ago and so I thought I’d take a look to see if the same was true with them as I had a similar issue with that pair, and they looked okay.
I had a closer look at the board in the older pair and it looks like there’s a white-ish residue around the board where there are wheel controls for the volume, potentially letting water in.
I’ve been checking water damage posts and looking online for signs of water damage and I can’t tell whether it has been damaged or not so I was hoping someone who knows a lot more about this could tell me.
If anyone could tell me if this board is done in or not, I would greatly appreciate it!
