Concerta in recovery from alcohol/cocaine

Diagnosed with ADHD a few months back and am taking concerta 36mg but I don’t even know if I need to be on it or what the right dose is meant to feel like? Does anybody in recovery find that concerta triggers their want to drink? Sometimes when I take it I feel overwhelmingly “pumped” almost like a drug hit and have found myself wanting to drink more frequently (I’m 3.5 years sober), like the same feeling of wanting to keep “the good feeling” going if that makes sense? Everything I’ve read said that for many people being medicated reduces impulsive urges but idk I think it’s reminding me of the drive to be social/ outgoing that drink and drugs gave me. Has anyone else experienced this or stopped taking it over fears of relapse?
