I want to lower this behavior to some degree. I’m not sure what to do and it’s driving me crazy. I love my cat to death, he’s an oldie, 18 years of age, Russian blue. But he follows me around and rubs against my legs and won’t leave me alone. He doesn’t play with any of the toys I buy him. He just eats, uses his litter box, sleeps, and rube all over me. It’s cute after the first few mins and I reward him by petting him. But it becomes more aggressive, the more I pet him…. And when I don’t do anything at all, he pulls out his claws and slightly uses them to get my attention to get me to pet him.
I’m not sure if it’s attention seeking or what, but any advice on how to stop (may be impossible) or possibly lower the behavior? Thanks!
