23F - I've had terrible floaters since I was 18 - thank you myopia. At that time, I was told there was nothing that could be done. Now, after 5 years of suffering (yes the floaters got worse) and copious amounts of research, I'm strongly considering pursuing a FOV. I've contacted Niall Patton's PA and its up to me to get book an intitial consultation. Honestly, I feel like it's time now. I've spent so much of my time and energy trying to cope - I've thrown myself into sports, travelling, uni studies, reading, work, friendships, etc. and have refused to let the floaters stop me.

But its getting to be exceedingly draining now. I know the risks and I don't see the point of delaying another 2/3/4/5/whatever number of years only to make the same choices a bit further down the line. But still, I need that final push. So does anyone have any stories/insights/information they can share? If you've had a FOV, what's been your experience? Extra points if you're a fairly young person like me, or in the UK but happy to hear from everybody.

Thanks so much - this forum has been an incredible resource over the last few years. I don't know where I would be without it.
