Nothing about my wife and I’s relationship from day 1 is what any sane person would consider to be normal. We’ve been together for almost 23 yrs / married for what will be 19 of them. Here’s the point and my question, I think I’ve convinced myself that our relationship/marriage is better than what it really is, when I ask my wife “why are you with me” and her response is basically “I don’t want to get divorced”(she was married very young and went through a bad divorce) - I take that as she’s settled and it’s easier to tolerate the path of least resistance rather than be honest and put an end to our marriage? Feels like I’m the only one who cares about “us” and she’s just along for the ride.
