Wondering what the outcome of this will be,
i’m doing english literature and I was supposed to fill out an ethics form back in January along with my dissertation proposal. However this was not told to me by my supervisor , she even told me she didn’t know what an ethics form was. Everyone else had filled theirs in but the people with my supervisor when they filled it in in january hadn’t had it signed until I mentioned to my supervisor last week about the form and apparently I need one (?) (there are 3 supervisors and my one is the only one who didn’t sign the others’ and also didn’t tell us we needed to do one). my dissertation is due on the 11th May so literally 5 days away, my research doesn’t include real people or interviews or anything, it’s only research from like criticisms, book chapters, JSTOR etc. But, now it’s been sent off last week because my module tutor told me to get it in ASAP, it still hasn’t been approved despite being expedited too. i’m wondering what will happen if this doesn’t get approved before I submit my dissertation? I can’t go to my supervisor for advice either cus she doesn’t know anything apparently. I also can’t find anything online about being penalised for late submission of the ethics form UNLESS u use human participants.
